The Canadian Association of Vehicle importers was formed to represent the interests of vehicle importers and dealers before government and regulatory authorities in the follow ways: 1. By working to ensure legitimate businesses are treated fairly and equitably under laws, the marketplace is able to more effectively function. 2. By working to ensure those laws either proposed or currently in effect that have the potential to impact the vehicle markets are reasonable, achievable and measurable or discarded altogether
