The North American Automobile Trade Association (NAATA) is a not-for-profit association of vehicle dealers that buy and sell vehicles across international borders. Our mandate is to facilitate the sale of these cross-border vehicles. We work with dealers, consumers, government, media and other stakeholders to ensure that there is an active market for cross-border sales.

We help connect our members with customers and suppliers. We help them develop relationships to open new markets and generate increased profits.

We also help our members resolve issues related to warranty restrictions, import tariffs, titling and vehicle registrations, non-export agreements, regulation of exporters as vehicle dealers, reVINing, provincial and state sales tax refunds, recall policy compliance, customs issues, air and weight tax, homologation and more.

Membership in the association is available to companies that engage in cross-border sales and to companies that provide services to importers and exporters, including customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, foreign exchange traders, insurance companies, companies that provide replacement warranties, vehicle specification and pricing information and speedometer conversion.
