AASA VIN Protection Program
Our Privileged Members are entitled to participate in the AASA VIN Protection Program to prevent disclosure of exported VINs from U.S. Customs shipping documents to manufacturers and other third parties.
Privileged Members are also entitled to the membership benefits provided to Associate Members, including opportunities to develop business relations with customers and suppliers and keeping informed about issues that impact upon vehicle import and export.

Get Business
NAATA receives emails and telephone calls from consumers and dealers looking for vehicles. They are looking for dealers that specialize in cross-border sales because they want to find vehicles in short supply or benefit from price advantages by buying across borders. We also get requests for referrals to shipping companies, forwarders, foreign exchange providers and homologation experts around the world. We refer these people to our members. We get inquiries every day. Let us steer these potential customers to your front door.
Stay Informed
NAATA sends our regular electronic newsletters to our members to keep them up-to-date on current and future issues about the cross-border vehicle market. We provide members with the information needed to run profitable and effective businesses. Our newsletters cover all issues pertaining to importing and exporting vehicles, including warranty coverage across borders, titling issues, industry trends and statistics, addressing non-export agreements, sales tax refunds, manufacturer restrictions on export sales, regulator policy for foreign import approvals, customs issues, import tariffs, regulation of exporters and importers as vehicle dealers, and much more.
Promote Your Business
NAATA will also help promote your business by including information about your business in our Directory of Cross-Border Motor Vehicle Specialists, with a link to your website. The Directory is downloaded by customers, suppliers and trade officers around the globe.
Export Data
Members receive vehicle export reports showing which vehicles and VINs were exported from U.S. ports to overseas destinations. Members receive these reports as they are made available to the association.
Networking Opportunities
Members receive discounts on delegate fees for the annual International Dealer Conference, North America’s premier event for vehicle exporters and importers. Last year, 90 vehicle importers, exporters, suppliers and forwarders from around the world converged in New York City for a chance to meet and explore business opportunities and hear speakers with insights in the world of vehicle export and import. Our 2012 conference will take place in Miami, Florida at the end of October.
Membership Fees
Fees for Privileged Membership in NAATA and AASA are $1,680 per year (one fee for both organizations). Canadian members must add 13% HST.
Fees for Associate Membership in NAATA and AASA are $600 per year. Canadian members must add 13% HST.
