The North American Automobile Trade Association has three
categories of members:
Regular Members
Full Service Members
Associate Members
Regular Membership
Our Regular Members are vehicle dealers that buy, sell, import
and export vehicles across international borders. Our members
are able to supply hard-to-find vehicles by sourcing them
across borders and are also able to source identical vehicles
at lower prices.

NAATA receives emails and telephone calls from consumers and
dealers looking for vehicles. They are looking for dealers
that specialize in cross-border sales because they want to
find vehicles in short supply or benefit from price advantages
by buying across borders. We refer these inquiries to our
members, including Regular Members. We get inquiries every
day. Let us steer these potential customers to your front
door.
Stay Informed
NAATA sends our regular notices to members to keep them up-to-date
on current and future issues about the cross-border vehicle
market. We provide members with the information needed to
run profitable and effective businesses. Our bulletins cover
all issues pertaining to importing and exporting vehicles,
including warranty coverage across borders, titling issues,
industry trends and statistics, addressing non-export agreements,
proper use of nominees, sales tax refunds, manufacturer restrictions
on export sales, DOT policy, customs issues, import tariffs,
regulation of exporters and importers as vehicle dealers,
and much more.
Promote Your Business
NAATA will also help promote your business by including information
about your business on our web site, with a link to your own
site. Regular Members also have an opportunity to send out
a joint media release with NAATA to news outlets across the
country (at an additional charge). News releases help to make
potential customers and suppliers aware of your services and
can generate new sources of long-term business. Also at an
additional fee, NAATA will place a banner ad on our web site
to attract people to your site and generate new and ongoing
business.
Membership Fees (Regular Members)
Fees for Regular Membership are $475 per year. Canadian members must
add 5% GST.

Full-Service Membership
Our Full-Service Members are leading vehicle dealers who
are proactive in servicing and supporting the international
cross-border vehicle market. Our Full-Service Members protect
the market that enables them to source and supply hard-to-find
vehicles across borders and identical vehicles at more competitive
prices.
Benefits to Membership (Full-Service Members)
Full-Service Members are entitled to the benefits of Regular
Membership. NAATA refers business to Full-Service Members
and keeps them informed about current and future issues in
the cross-border vehicle industry. Further, NAATA sends out
one joint media release (with NAATA) per year to news outlets
across the country to generate business for each Full-Service
Member from new, potential and existing customers and to help
forge relations with suppliers. This news release is sent
out at no charge to Full-Service Members.
NAATA will also place a banner ad on our web site at no charge
for Full-Service Members to attract traffic to your site and
generate new business.
NAATA also provides direct assistance for Full-Service Members
to help them with resolution of issues related to cross-border
sales of motor vehicles, including issues and disputes involving:
- Warranty restrictions
- Fighting manufacturer restrictions on cross-border
sales
- Import tariffs
- Titling and vehicle registrations
- Non-export agreements
- Use of nominees
- Regulation of exporters as motor vehicle
dealers
- ReVINing of stolen vehicles
- Provincial and state sales tax refunds
- GST refunds
- Trademark issues
- DOT investigations

Membership Fees (Full-Service Members)
Fees for Full-Service Membership are $3,000 per year. Canadian members
must add 5% GST.

Associate Membership
Our Associate Members are organizations that provide services
to the cross-border vehicle industry. These organizations
provide shipping, customs, freight forwarding, foreign exchange
and other services to vehicle dealers that buy and sell vehicles
across borders.
Benefits to Membership (Associate Members)
Associate Members are entitled to the benefits of Regular
Membership. NAATA refers business to Associate Members and
keeps them informed about current and future issues that impact
upon their ability to provide services to dealers that specialize
in cross-border sales.
NAATA helps cross-border dealers find service providers that
enable them to provide price and supply advantages across
international borders. Our Associate Members provide key services
to their dealers that are essential to their competitive advantages.
Associate Members receive our industry bulletins and have
an opportunity to send out joint media releases to news outlets
across the country (at an additional charge). News releases
help to make potential customers aware of your services and
can generate new sources of long-term business.
Also, at an additional fee, NAATA will also place a banner
ad on our web site to attract cross-border dealers to your
site and generate new and ongoing business.
Membership Fees (Associate Members)
Fees for Full-Service Membership are $420 per year. Canadian members
must add 5% GST.
